New Delhi [India], August 13: <\/strong>\u201cSWIPE SWIPE\u201d, a relationship and dating-based film Written & Directed by Ashish Sahasrabuddhe, is ready to be released in the Cinemas of Sydney and Canberra.<\/p>\n

All shows are booked out one month in advance.<\/span><\/p>\n

No it\u2019s not a big budget movie. No, it doesn\u2019t have A-list actors, and yes, in a big rush of multi-hundred crores(millions) film projects, Ashish has carved his own path and crafted his film with an extremely low-budget feature film in Sydney, Australia.<\/span><\/p>\n

The film is 1 hour 13 minutes long and walks through the journey of some in their single phase of life, trying to attempt a relationship.<\/p>\n

Sydney Siders have already booked the tickets one month in advance.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ashish states, \u201cI am very thankful to the local Indian community, friends and colleagues who have been a big support to our fully booked out shows. For me, it is a very big deal as an independent filmmaker\u201d.<\/p>\n

He adds, \u201cWatching the same film in a cinema hall twice is rare, but he had similar experiences with the last film\u201d.<\/p>\n

His current film \u201cSWIPE SWIPE\u201d has a repeat audience.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cSwipe Swipe\u201d depicts how it\u2019s easy to install apps on the phone and browse through online dating, but the reality might be bitter for some.<\/span><\/p>\n

Filmmaking is not Ashish\u2019s business; he makes all these films from his limited savings after paying household bills, mortgage and managing his 9-5 job, but the focus is to bring good stories and express local issues, not chasing the number of views, monetary benefit, popularity and\/or awards.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Ashish does not wait for anyone to help. He announces, kick-starts, and moves forward, sometimes it could be against the flow, keeping a learning hat on.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

He said \u201cYes, I fail, but haven\u2019t given \u00a0up, so I was able to produce good films\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Ashish also did his first Marathi film *\u2019 The Filmmaker\u2019* in Sydney, Australia, which won the *Best Writer* award at the Marathi International Film Festival in New Jersey, USA, and won Best Experimental Film at the *CAFE IRANI CHAII INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL* in Mumbai. English-speaking audiences appreciated the film just by following the subtitles.<\/span><\/p>\n

He has written and directed the female lead \u201c50 Dollars\u201d depicting arrogant vs caring and soft sides of female businesswomen.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

He focused on Men\u2019s emotional side as well in 5 episodes called \u201cDEAR MEN\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Ashish, notes on his journey, \u201cIt\u2019s ok, I am slow, but I keep moving forward on the path I carved for myself\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

He encourages passionate people not to look for a few dollars here and there but to take every opportunity to do the work that involves passion, as life just passes by in day jobs and weekend parties.
