Rayagada (Odisha) [India], January 06:<\/strong> <\/span>Vedanta Aluminium\u2019s stall at the \u2018Chaiti Mahotsav\u2019, organised in Odisha\u2019s Rayagada district, was a major attraction at the festival that featured a captivating fusion of heritage art showcasing Saura paintings, Dokra art forms, traditional tribal art and crafts alongside products from self-help groups (SHGs) prepared by the Project Sakhi which empowers women as micro-entrepreneurs.<\/p>\n

The stall garnered significant interest from the visitors through its live Saura art hand painting counter.<\/p>\n

Additionally, the stall featured an array of exhibits from Vedanta\u2019s newly-acquired hockey team \u2013 Kalinga Lancers, the defending champions in the on-going Hockey India League (HIL). The display included the team\u2019s mascot, player highlights, and the trophy creating an impressive engagement platform that delighted the visitors.<\/p>\n

The stall not only attracted over 25,000 visitors during the festival, but was also graced by dignitaries like Mr. Kadraka Allapaswamy, MLA Rayagada, Mr. Nilamadhab Hikaka, MLA Bisamcuttack, Ms. Parul Patawari, IAS, Collector & District Magistrate, Rayagada and Ms. Swathy S Kumar, IPS, Superintendent of Police, Rayagada prominent among others.<\/p>\n

Emphasizing the significance of such an initiative, Mr. Kadraka Allapaswamy, MLA Rayagada remarked, \u201cVedanta Aluminium\u2019s involvement in Chaiti Mahotsav not only highlights their dedication to cultural heritage, but also plays a crucial role in enhancing the socio-economic fabric of our community. Their efforts to support local artisans and promote traditional crafts are commendable.\u201d<\/p>\n

Since its inception in 2005, this annual cultural festival, has celebrated the rich tribal heritage of communities in the region, serving as a vibrant platform to promote tribal art and culture.<\/p>\n
