Pune (Maharashtra) [India], December 20:\u00a0 <\/strong>India\u00a0STEM\u00a0Foundation\u00a0(ISF)<\/a>\u00a0hosted a cybersecurity education program in partnership with CrowdStrike, a global leader in cybersecurity, on December 10. As part of its\u00a0Anushikshan<\/em><\/a>\u00a0<\/em>skill development initiative, ISF held the event at CrowdStrike\u2019s corporate office in Kharadi, Pune, where more than 80 students from the Air Force School, Viman Nagar, were introduced to the fundamentals of cybersecurity.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0interactive\u00a0and\u00a0hands-on\u00a0experience\u00a0marked\u00a0the\u00a0regional\u00a0launch\u00a0of\u00a0CrowdStrike\u2019s\u00a0Cyber Threat Defender Booster Pack<\/em>, a cybersecurity education card game, and showcased the company\u2019s commitment to bridging the skills and opportunity gaps in cybersecurity.<\/p>\n

Gamifying\u00a0Cybersecurity\u00a0Education<\/h4>\n

CrowdStrike\u00a0developed\u00a0the\u00a0Cyber\u00a0Threat\u00a0Defender Booster\u00a0Pack\u00a0<\/em>in collaboration with the Center for Infrastructure Assurance and Security (CIAS). The unique card game teaches foundational cybersecurity concepts in an innovative, gamified format. CrowdStrike\u2019s booster\u00a0pack\u00a0includes\u00a012\u00a0custom-designed\u00a0cards\u00a0that\u00a0educate\u00a0students\u00a0on\u00a0prominent\u00a0threats such as SYN Flood, phishing attacks, ransomware, while also showcasing the industry leading protection delivered by the CrowdStrike\u00ae Falcon platform.<\/p>\n

These\u00a0cards\u00a0help\u00a0simulate\u00a0real-world\u00a0cyber\u00a0defense\u00a0scenarios,\u00a0enabling\u00a0students\u00a0to\u00a0grasp complex cybersecurity concepts in a fun, interactive way.<\/p>\n

Volunteer\u00a0Engagement\u00a0and\u00a0Interactive\u00a0Gameplay<\/h4>\n

CrowdStrike\u00a0volunteers\u00a0worked\u00a0closely\u00a0with\u00a0students,\u00a0guiding\u00a0them\u00a0through\u00a0gameplay\u00a0and explaining cybersecurity strategies. The program is intended to spark early interest in cybersecurity among students and build foundational skills for the next generation of tech talent.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0gameplay\u00a0involved\u00a0teams\u00a0of\u00a0two\u00a0competing\u00a0in\u00a0strategic\u00a0matches,\u00a0applying\u00a0concepts\u00a0like threat mitigation and defense tactics while learning about cyber risks such as social engineering and data corruption.<\/p>\n

Key\u00a0Highlights\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0Event<\/h4>\n

The event featured a session from\u00a0J.C. Herrera<\/strong>, chief human resources officer at CrowdStrike,\u00a0who\u00a0spoke\u00a0about\u00a0the\u00a0importance\u00a0of\u00a0meaningful\u00a0volunteer\u00a0engagement\u00a0and\u00a0the company\u2019s cybersecurity education outreach initiatives.<\/p>\n
