Willow Woods Preschool Spreads the True Spirit of Christmas Through Toy & Story Books Donation Drive

Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], December 30: Embracing the true essence of Christmas—love, sharing, and compassion—Willow Woods Preschool organised a heartfelt Toy & Story Books Donation Drive, inviting parents and children to come together for a meaningful social cause. The initiative aimed to extend joy beyond the school walls and reach underprivileged children, while simultaneously instilling values of empathy and generosity in young minds.
The campaign witnessed an overwhelming response from the Willow Woods parent community. Within a short period, more than 300+ toys and story books—both gently used and new—were collected. All donated items are set to be handed over to NGO Goonj, a nationally respected organisation known for channelising urban surplus resources to underserved communities in a dignified and impactful manner.
The collected toys and story books were donated not only to NGO Goonj but also to Aashri Orphanage, ensuring that the joy of giving reached even more children in need. Through this initiative, Willow Woods Preschool extended the spirit of Christmas to multiple communities, spreading smiles, hope, and happiness beyond the school campus.
The donation drive was thoughtfully designed as a learning experience for children, helping them understand that festivals are not just about receiving gifts, but also about sharing happiness with others. Through this initiative, children actively participated in selecting toys and books to donate, learning the importance of kindness, gratitude, and social responsibility at a very young age.
