New Delhi [India], December 30: Swapnali Wani, a software professional, cultural advocate, and handloom promoter originally from Airoli, Navi Mumbai, has been crowned Mrs Bharat-USA Universe 2026. With this prestigious title, she will represent both her nations—India, her Matru-bhoomi, and the United States, her Karma-bhoomi—at the 49th Mrs. Universe Pageant, scheduled to be held in September 2026 in Botswana, Africa.
Mrs Universe is a globally recognised annual pageant celebrating “the most honourable married woman.” The platform welcomes married women aged 18 to 55 from across the world who balance family, career, and a meaningful social cause. The organization’s international headquarters is based in Sofia, Bulgaria.
A Journey of Resilience and Representation
Swapnali’s journey from a small-town upbringing in India to an international stage is a story of resilience, self-belief, and purposeful representation. Petite in stature, she recalls facing early skepticism for not fitting traditional runway standards. Rather than conform, she chose to redefine them.
She went on to create a unique handloom fashion show, offering an inclusive platform where women of all sizes could walk with pride and confidence. This initiative not only challenged conventional beauty norms but also celebrated India’s rich textile heritage through inclusivity and authenticity.
Beyond Pageantry: Advocacy and Cultural Impact
A true multi-hyphenate, Swapnali is a mother, wife, artist, handloom blogger, and cultural advocate deeply committed to preserving Indian art and heritage. Through her saree-focused community, she has actively supported handloom artisans—many of them women and survivors of domestic violence—by amplifying their stories and creating sustainable visibility for their craft.
“Sarees have connected me with countless souls and given me a platform to support artists. Through this, I strive to empower women while preserving our heritage,” said Swapnali.
Her work bridges tradition and modernity, using storytelling as a tool for dignity, economic empowerment, and cultural continuity.

Commitment to Health and Wellness
Health and wellness form a cornerstone of Swapnali’s mission. Through disciplined nutrition and lifestyle consistency, she successfully reversed a pre-diabetic condition, losing nearly 60 pounds and transforming her health—from size 10 to size 0.
She emphasises this journey not as an aesthetic achievement, but as a testament to preventive healthcare, discipline, and self-advocacy, inspiring women to prioritise long-term well-being over temporary results.
A Crown with Purpose
As she prepares to step onto the international stage, Swapnali views her crown as a symbol of responsibility and purpose rather than prestige.
“To me, this crown is more than just a title—it’s a statement. A message to every girl that you don’t have to fit into anyone else’s standards to shine. If I can inspire even one person to pursue their dreams, that will be my greatest reward. True beauty has no size, no limits—it radiates from within.”
Gratitude and Support
Swapnali credits her success to the unwavering support of her family, acknowledging their role in enabling her journey across technology, culture, and social impact.
She also expressed deep gratitude to MydreamTVUSA, organised by Rashmi Bedi, Janak Bedi, and Surya Bedi, for honouring her with the titles Mrs Bharat-USA Universe 2026 and Mrs New York Petite Universe 2025.
Looking Ahead
With the Mrs. Universe 2026 pageant approaching, Swapnali Wani’s representation is expected to shine a global spotlight on handloom craftsmanship, women’s empowerment, inclusivity, and holistic wellness. Her journey reflects a progressive evolution in modern pageantry—one that values authenticity, social purpose, and meaningful impact alongside grace and performance.
