Nagpur (Maharashtra) [India], December 30: Nagpur-based renowned Kathak dancer Lata Pandey created a memorable impact at DIVA Pageants Mrs Maharashtra Season 9, where she won the 2nd Runner-Up title in the Silver Category, held on December 21 at HYATT Pune. She was also honoured with the special subtitle Mrs Talented, recognising her exceptional artistry, grace, and strong stage presence.
Sharing her inspiration behind participating, Lata said “Being a dancer, I have always loved being on stage. I was extremely happy, almost like a child. I had practiced countless times in front of the mirror, so when I finally stepped onto the platform it felt natural, joyful, and truly fulfilling”.
Lata expressed that her biggest support has been her family, especially her son Yash. “Yash’s belief in me gave me the strength and confidence to pursue my dreams fearlessly,” she said.

A professional Kathak dancer and trainer, Lata has dedicated years to mastering classical dance and nurturing talent through her training. Her passion for performance and discipline was evident throughout the competition, earning appreciation from both judges and audiences. “Through this crown, I wanted to create an identity of my own and inspire homemakers around me to never limit themselves. I want women to believe that their dreams are valid at every stage of life,” she smiles.
She also expressed gratitude to the exceptional grooming and mentorship she received from Anjana and Karl Mascarenhas, Founders, DIVA Pageants, and the graceful ramp walk training imparted by Pooja Singh.
Next, Lata plans to explore opportunities within the entertainment industry. “I want to grow further through ramp walks, modelling, and stage performances. This platform has opened new doors, and I am excited to embrace what lies ahead,” she said.
